Trogir again

Here I am again for a new summer season working in middle dalmatian city of Trogir. New challenge in old environment, new people and old accountants, new desires and sorrows as every life journey... One thing I know is show must go on so help me Lord...

Trogir has a fascinating 2300 years of continuous urban tradition. Its rich culture was created under the influence of old Greeks, Romans, and Venetians. Trogir has a high concentration of palaces, churches, and towers, as well as a fortress on a small island, and in 1997 was inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage List. "The orthogonal street plan of this island settlement dates back to the Hellenistic period and it was embellished by successive rulers with many fine public and domestic buildings and fortifications. Its beautiful Romanesque churches are complemented by the outstanding Renaissance and Baroque buildings from the Venetian period", says UNESCO report.
Trogir is the best-preserved Romanesque-Gothic complex not only in the Adriatic, but in all of Central Europe. Trogir's medieval core, surrounded by walls, comprises a preserved castle and tower and a series of dwellings and palaces from the Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque periods. Trogir's grandest building is the church of St. Lawrence, whose main west portal is a masterpiece by Radovan, and the most significant work of the Romanesque-Gothic style in Croatia.

The most important sites:

• Historical city core, with about 10 churches and numeous buildings from 13th century
• The city gate (17th cent.) and city walls (15th cent.)
• The Fortress Kamerlengo (15th century)
• The Duke's Palace (13th century)
• The cathedral of St. John from the 13th century with the Portal of Master Radovan, the unique work of this great Croatian artist
• The big and small palaces Cipiko from the 15th century
• The city loggia from 15th century

Bio je i jedan 10-ti radijski festivala koji se održao u Trogiru od 1.06-3.06. u atmosferi malo dobre glazbe, prevelike buke, malo loš tajming organizacije zbog vremenskih neprilika, nepoznata satnica vožnje gostiju našim brodovima ali ipak i osmjeha i dobrog raspoloženja kada se uzme sve suma sumarum. Svako ima pravo na svoje misljenje pa i ja na moje.

Aj dogodine sa malo vise pameti i entuzijazma pa valjda će se možda odrzati i treća vecer zaredom, a da nas kiša ne polomi pa svi pobjegnu kao muha bez glave.

Kula Kamerlengo se kupa u noć obasjanih svijetla i publike koja bas i nije navijala za pobjedničku pjesmu.

Grad je potresao jak vatromet koji je bar na mene ostavio utisak da ipak i u svakoj nesavršenoj organizaciji postoji nešto što moze izgledati savršeno, a to je scena ispred kule na trogirskoj rivi, boje koje se mješaju u mraku i obasjavaju more...

Sve je dobro dok ne počnu prave gužve i borba za svaki pedalj zemlje staroga grada dok šetamo prema rivi. Ponekad i sami turisti postaju prenaporni za ovako sićusnu sredinu ali ipak, njihove lisnice su uvijek dobrodošli na našim naplatnim kućicama po gradu i plažama :)).

Dragi brod Mirakul pomalo sredjen čeka da se dobro protegne u vožnji ove sezone i ako bude sve u redu možda stigne i na Bol.

Spremaju mu se nove stolice, vec miriše na pituru i lak, a bar da nas ovo vrijeme malo više posluži pa da ga pustimo da gura milje na morskoj pučini prema Šolti.

Nadajmo se uspješnoj sezoni, puno dobrih vožnji i zadovoljnih turista a i nama cast da to pošteno zaradimo i nazdravimo još jednu godinu prolaska zrelosti našeg zivota i utiske novog iskustva...
